  • To ensure the best germination, the temperature must be 18-20°C. Sow seeds on their sides, 2.5cm deep, in small pots with peat-free compost. Plant 50cm apart. Can be grown undercover or outdoors from late May, after the last frost. Grow up a string or support with bamboo.

    Sow indoors: March to May

    Plant out: May to July

    Harvest: July to October

  • One of our favourite cucumbers is to eat raw as a snack or sliced as a side dish for barbecues. Thanks to its mild, non-bitter flavour, it's a crowd-pleaser. It's delicious with mint and dill and is also perfect grated for raita or tzatziki sauce.
