Blue-Pear-Lemon Jam
Is it a jam or a marmalade? Our Blue-Pear-Lemon Jam combines the rich, fruity depth of three types of blueberries—Duke, known for its pale colour and perfect sweet-tart balance; Northblue, with its juicy texture and wild blueberry flavour; and Pink Lemonade, which offers a delightful rose-pink hue and a floral, citrusy kick. These are beautifully complemented by the soft, mellow sweetness of Williams’ Bon Chrétien pears, bringing a smooth, velvety richness that perfectly balances the sweet-tangy blueberries. Organic lemon peel—sourced through the CrowdFarming platform from small Mediterranean farmers—adds a vibrant, zesty edge, elevating the flavour profile. It is a jam with a hint of marmalade—bright, lively, and absolutely delicious.
At Fat Tomato, we grow six varieties of blueberries in our garden, each with its own distinct flavour. Some are so irresistible, they never make it to the kitchen! Our berries thrive in nutrient-rich, acidic soil, nourished by mulch from our tree trimmings, resulting in a mix of sweet, tart, and uber-juicy fruits. Harvest time is always a race against the wild birds, who seem to find ways to sneak through our bird-friendly netting to feast on the ripest berries before we do!

We like our jams slightly runny, allowing the fruit flavours to shine. Delicious on morning porridge, yoghurt with granola, brown soda or sourdough toast, scones with salted butter, vanilla ice cream, or sponge with cream. We can keep going!
