Kombucha
Kombucha is a tangy, fizzy fermented drink packed with live cultures and antioxidants that are excellent for your gut health. At Fat Tomato, we ferment a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) with Barry’s Gold Blend black tea, organic raw cane sugar, and filtered well water for two weeks, then bottle it with added flavours from our garden and ferment for another week to develop its signature fizz. This traditional method produces a drink full of gut-friendly probiotics and antioxidants that support digestion and overall well-being.
We love infusing our kombucha with spicy, fruity, or tart flavours, crafting a refreshing drink perfect for any time of day. Kombucha is also a sustainable way to upcycle fruit peelings and other kitchen scraps, turning what would otherwise go to waste into flavourful, eco-friendly beverages.
Please note: Kombucha naturally fizzes during its second fermentation, so we do not filter or pasteurise it. You may notice small bits of goodness at the bottom of the bottle—this is part of the natural fermentation process.
